Chesterfield Township residents Jim and Janet Riehl, who own Jim Riehl Friendly Automotive Group, donated $10,000 to the Friends of Chesterfield Police organization on March 5 to see a second K-9 added to the police department’s ranks.
KOKOMO, Ind. -- A lemonade stand has raised nearly $7,000 to go to the family of Boone County Deputy Jacob Pickett. Malachi's Magnificent Lemonade opened Friday and Saturday to raise money for Pickett's family. They raised $1,750 on Saturday, and $5,200 on Friday for a total of $6,950. The lemonade stand was first opened by 6-year-old Malachi Fronczak last year when Southport Police Lieutenant Aaron Allan was shot and killed. He raised $2,000 for Allan's family.
